After an Argument

A reader sent me a beautiful idea for building on our Warm Up challenge to tell stories to those we love.

Imagine that you’ve had an argument, maybe even a pretty bad one. Both sides feel hurt and worn out, discouraged.

And then you decide to tell a story about an important time in your relationship. You keep talking, sharing what that experience means to each of you.

Maybe you would both start to soften, just a bit.

Then perhaps you could tell another story or two about some of the good times, or even about some of the hard times you managed to get through and eventually came out stronger and better for the experience.

Remembering our strength and resiliency through story telling just might help us find our footing again and a way to heal and move forward.
