A Question

Not Smart Enough for College - 2022-01-13T211006.107

I have a question for you.

How are the tweens and teens in your life doing now that they are back in school after the holidays?

In our family, even though our teenage grandkids are vaccinated, super good about wearing their masks, and thoughtful about what they do and where they go, two of them had COVID over the break.

Naturally, we were worried and also sad that they missed out on some great winter fun while they were in isolation. But I’m not going to lie, there are a few perks for a teen in isolation these days, like no chores, room service, and unlimited video gaming and YouTube surfing.

Most of all we are so grateful that their symptoms were mild. Now, just as they are feeling better (THANKFULLY!) and are back in school, the number of cases in our community is surging so high that some of our schools are returning to online classes for a while.

There are no easy answers, but in these times of unpredictable change, my husband Cal and I invite you to join us for Conquering Homework: Moving Middle Schoolers from Stress to Success, a free, one hour webinar for parents whose tweens and teens are struggling this year.

You will leave with specific, practical strategies to help kids:

  • Cope better with anxiety
  • Take more responsibility for their school work
  • Communicate more effectively at home and school

Plus, attend live and get real-time answers to your most pressing parenting challenges.

We hope to see you there on Tuesday, January 25 at 11AM MST (1PM EST / 10AM PST).

And please help us spread the word by forwarding this invitation to parents and others who are concerned about how kids are managing during this difficult year.
