Good Intentions
We had REALLY good intentions.
Honestly.
We had it all planned out. We were going to Montana. We would relax and immerse ourselves in the “true and original Old West” gold rush days in Virginia City and the great outdoors. Yellowstone’s Old Faithful never disappoints.
But…
It was June, 2022, so our plans literally washed away. The headlines read: “Catastrophic Rains” “Flooding Wrought Havoc” “Severe Damage” “Out of Commission for the Entire Season”
We’ll wait a couple of weeks, we said. And we meant it.
But…
Without a date on the calendar, the days slipped by. The rest of June… all of July… was it really August?
It was tempting to say, “Oh, well, we tried,” and let it go for another year, or two, or three.
But…
Instead, we are going, better late than never.
How about you and your family? Do you have plans that never quite materialized? Summer dreams still on the shelf?
It’s not too late. It’s never too late for Plan B or C or however far down the alphabet you need to go.
Late summer? Here we come!
Fall already? Let’s go!
Winter? Hey, that could be fun!
Put it on the calendar. Maybe a weekend, maybe an afternoon. Get away, try something new, revisit an old favorite, enjoy each other, strengthen your ties, build memories to help you stay connected through the good times and the bad in the year ahead.
Happy Trails,
Anne
