Less is More

Yep, sometimes less really can be more.

How do I know?

Just look out my kitchen window with me.

There are over 25 birds, at least 5 different kinds, feasting.

In September I was getting ready to have total knee replacement surgery. I was in a lot of pain and didn’t do much gardening. I usually cut back all of my perennials in the fall, but I couldn’t get done and hoped I would get back on track come spring.

But guess what? The birds love it. I’ve never had so many happy birds in my yard.

Where else can less be more?

Perhaps in a concise complaint instead of a character attack.

A direct request instead of a long list of shortcomings.

A helping hand that supports but doesn’t take over.

How about in your life, with your family? I’m going to be watching out for opportunities to give it a try. Want to join in?
