What’s your favorite roller coaster?
I loved Universal Studios Dueling Dragons. Simultaneous fear and delight.
Gone now, but forever the perfect balance in my mind.
I’ve been on a bit of a real life roller coaster the past few months, with a series of challenges hitting me hard and fast from one side and then the other.
In the midst of trials, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or adrift, to lose sight of hope and the possibility of new joys and delights just around the corner.
What really helped me through? Good friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family who were there to share the pain, hear my worries, and hold my hand while I worked my way from darkness to light.
There are good reasons the classic marriage vows speak of commitment for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.
Let’s be there for those we love through storms and sunshine. Life is an unpredictable roller coaster, so buckle up and treasure all the moments together.
